While at a prayer meeting, she overheard an elderly woman pray, “It’s all right, Lord. It doesn’t matter what You bring us; just have Your own way with us.”
Inspired by this simple act of faith, Pollard went home and wrote all four stanzas that night. Set to a gentle melody by George C. Stebbins, the hymn has since become a global favorite for those seeking to align their hearts with the will of the Father.
